One of the strength & conditioning coaches I follow is Alwyn Cosgrove (http://www.alwyncosgrove.com/). He is easily one of the most interesting people I've ever heard speak. A two-time cancer survivor, Coach Cosgrove's articles continue to be the ones I'm forever quoting, highlighting, etc... A recent Q&A on his blog revealed the following that I thought was very powerful:
"I design training programs on physiological basis. Part of the word 'physiological' is the word 'logical' and I argue that there is very little to bodypart splits. Bosypart splits are geography, not physiology."
