The Journal of the American Dietetic Association recently released information regarding the benefits of young girls eating breakfast regularly. More than 2,300 girls aged 11.5-18.6 were measured 6 times for specific parameters, including body fat and waist-to-hip ratio. The results were quite indicative of the benefits of eating breakfast. The girls who ate cereal on a greater percentage of days exhibited higher levels of physical activity and lower levels of body fat and total cholesterol than the girls who failed to eat breakfast regularly.
