Going Organic

While "going organic" presents a monetary challenge, it may be the way to go when it comes to certain fruits and vegetables. Washington D.C.-based Environmental Working Group (EWG) recently ranked the produce that contained the highest amounts of pesticides. Personally, these are the ones I'd strongly advise purchasing the organic versions of. In order, they are as follows:

  1. Peaches

  2. Apples

  3. Sweet Bell Peppers

  4. Celery

  5. Nectarines

  6. Strawberries

  7. Cherries

  8. Pears

  9. Grapes (imported)

  10. Spinach

  11. Lettuce

  12. Potatoes
